Priming the skin:
2weeks prior to your peel you should begin a skin regimen (which includes a sunscreen) given to you. For 1 week prior to and after the peel STOP the use of the following treatments:

  • Waxing, Depilatories, Electrolysis
  • Loofahs and other sponges
  • Hair dyeing
  • Other Resurfacing or Exfoliating treatments.

How is a chemical peel performed?
No sedation or anesthesia is required. The patient usually experiences a slight stinging, when the solution is applied. The treatment usually takes about 10-15 min, but the doctor may vary the concentration of the chemical or the length of time of the treatment.

Note: IF YOU HAVE ANY SOCIAL GATHERING WITHIN ONE WEEK, IT WOULD BE BETTER TO AVOID A CHEMICAL PEEL IN THIS PERIOD
